Creative Teaching
Our Goals:
- To develop in each child the true feeling that they are unique, special and are a child of God.
- To help each child develop an appreciation for the world around them and their creator.
- To guide each child through their spiritual, cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.
- To teach each child to express oneself in a socially acceptable manner.
- To provide activities, which develop the children’s listening and speaking skills.
- To provide activities for fine and gross motor skills in order to encourage independence.
- To teach about Jesus and his love through art, music and literature.
- To support parents and provide them with an environment that is safe and nurturing for their children.
- To laugh and have fun!
Center-Based Learning (for children in play-school and pre-school programs — 2 ½ through age 5):
Children rotate between different activities (centers). Activities at centers are designed to meet the developmental stage of each child. Center-based activities include:
- Fine Motor
- Language/Literacy/Writing
- Math
- Science
- Dramatic Play
Circle Time:
- Bible Stories
- Devotions
- Prayer
- Calendar and weather
- Songs/Fingerplays
- Theme related book
